Ermenegildo Zegna | Stefano Pilati's debut

For this season at Ermenegildo Zegna, Stefano Pilati (the former creative director at Yves Saint Laurent) finally made his awaited debut.

Above all else, the suiting is what most people desire from Zegna. The double breasted suits, even with a mere two buttons, are still wholesome and substantial. The proportionality of the waist and lapels is sensical, as are the lengths of the jacket and trousers. In order to match such elegant suiting, understatedly classical white shirts are either paired with equally smart ties, or are simply sans cravats.

The casual wear blends nicely with the concept of the collection. Hues and shades of blue combine with whites and greys quite masterfully, though are subdued by the excessively rolled-up sleeves.
